Hi there,
I just re-installed the mod and noticed that my generals don't have command stars next to their avatars on the campaign map. Is it supposed to be this way? Thanks!
Hi there,

Yes, they've been modded out for realism reasons, if you want them back edit the file mods\DLV_ext\data\descr_standards.txt under you M2TW install and change:
Code:banner_star 0.01, 0.67969, 0.19141, 0.86719 banner_button 0.19922, 0.67969, 0.38281, 0.86719
The Danes, I swear, with their half arsed attempts at a 'war'. You gotta give it to 'em, they just dont stop trying. Listen, I've fought the Timurids, ever heard of them? Elephants with cannons on their backs. Yea, Timurids. You guys are like kids on tricycles compared to them. -REZ
Thanks! It is save-game compatible?

Hi Tokus*Maximus,
Just to double check whether to drop the file into the directory .../mod/DLV_ext/ or .../mod/DLV/ext/data/ Thanks a lot.
Drag 'n' drop the [data] folder inside the downloaded file into that first [DLV_ext] folder found within the game folder on your machine. Overwrite when prompted. This will not only make the command star return crisper and sharper than before but also tidys up all the faction symbols a bit and enhances them.
best,
Tokus
Dear Tokus,
There are two "DLV_ext" folders in my computer. One is inside the "mods" folder of M2TW which is the root directory containing all the files of DLV. The other one is inside the previous mentioned one, but it contains only two folders, namely "banners" and "models_start".
Pl. clarify which DLV_ext folders you are talking about. For the first one, it will replace the original "data" file (about 6.4G) which contains much more files than that of your "data" file. For the latter one, it will not replace any files as there is no "data" file inside this directory.
Thanks for your clarification as I do not want to ruin my saved games and need to reinstall the whole game.
Hell even I who usually mod them out for aesthetic reasons am keeping them in - 'cause the new ones look soooo goood![]()

Gnowong,
Copy and paste into the first one. The size of the mod is much smaller yes - it'll simply update some of the art files and faction symbols as well as fix the command stars. It's not for the latter DLV_folder as you suspected. Follow the main thread for this art patch in the DLV sub-mod forum.

Thanks Tokus.
But it seems that your "data" folder would replace my origninal 6.4G "data" folder located in the DLV_ext directory if I just copy and paste as per your advice. If it is the case, all other files in the original "data" folder will be lost. So, how the game would work properly in this situation?
Sorry that I am confused in this and want a very clear advice as I don't want to reinstall my game if I misunderstand something. Thanks.
Dear Gnowwong,
following the install instructions will only replace files that it needs to replace (ie - new symbols and 2D graphics) leaving all the other files within the data folder untouched. I would feel a lot more relaxed if you'd post your query up in the sub-mod thread for this download at http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=225040 - there you'll find many folk who'll readily explain it to you in a more deeper fashion than the install instructions so you can install without a modicum of worry.
