Question before purchasing the game

Hi!

I'm new to the world of computer games and I'm thinking of buying the Total War. And I have some questions.

1 Will I be able to play multiplayer?
2 If I buy more then 1 series of Total War will I be able to join multiplayer online with the same stats and ranks (or whatever it is)
3 How many are there players online on average per day?

This depends on which Total War game you mean. There's Shogun: Total War and its expansions, Rome: Total War and its expansions, Medieval: Total War and its expansions, Medieval II: Total War and its expansions and Empire: Total War - Soon enough Napoleon: Total War as well.

As far as I know, only Rome: Total War and Medieval: Total War have multiplayer, I'm not sure about Empire.

Empire:TW has the best multiplayer of all TW games

OK then. I'll specify my question. I like playing with real opponents so if I buy Rome: Total War and/or Medieval: Total War will I be able to join both multiplayers using 1 login and wil I have the same stats? And I'm still interested in how massive is multiplayer during the day. Thanks!

I'm not too sure - But I think not. It's the same deal with, say... Warcraft II multiplayer edition and Warcraft III - 2 different accounts. I doubt you can carry on to the next game with your already existing stats in another game.

I believe if you have an account, you can sue the same for RTW And MTW 2 but not for ETW... I think.

Thanks guys! Still may be you can tell me how massive are multuiplayers in these games. I think I'm gonna choose the one that has more players online! and thanks for your patience with noobies

We're happy to help.

I believe that currently Rome and Empire (If it has multiplayer) have the biggest communities. From what I understand, Medieval II's multiplayer is abandoned.
