What's happening with the NTW BAI & CAI?

Lusted isn't part of the AI design so I doubt he'd really know.

i'll answer for you and i estimate there is a 75% chance i'm right or better.

CAI - exactly the same as present ETW (competent, certainly acceptable, but not brilliant)
BAI - close to the same as present ETW (incompetent), should be greatly helped by the multiplayer battle feature.
DAI - exactly the same as present ETW (mostly incompetent)

Well the Gamespot review told us that it cannot be any worse then Empire 1.5, and that 99% of the AI is much better then 1.5. jack confirmed this too.

There are rules that have to be obeyed.

Never underestimate the power of a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

Or the power of negativity to make sure that questions framed in an unfortunate way cannot necessarily be answered.

Well what do you really expect to hear? The truth? I can imagine it, "Well the BAI will be very slightly better than ETW, but not really that great." yea, right.

You`ll hear whatever makes NTW sound good enough to sell.

Nah. He'll hear nothing, actually.

He's asking the wrong person on the wrong venue. I guarantee you Jack would LOVE to tell us - but he doesn't work on the AI, and even if he did, CA would frown upon him discussing it on an unofficial fansite. I too would love to hear details about the AI (the new troops look splendid, and even if that makes Napoleon look better than Empire, it doesn't make it play better), but CA representatives aren't going to talk about the AI to an unofficial TW community that will prove to be its toughest (and often most able) critics.

We're just going to have to wait for the official press releases, which going from the Empire experience, means we will have to wait until our fellow TWCers post up their own reviews.

You're probably right, but I'm going to remain optimistic.

Do I think the AI will be better than Empire... Yes I do. To what extent though, is what I'm really wondering.

I think the people at CA understand that they just HAVE to improve the AI, or they will lose all their dedicated fans who are already disappointed by ETW. So I trust that the AI for NTW will be better and acceptable at least. If not, well I will still buy it but I can imagine a lot of people won't, and CA don't want that.

He probably will tell us something when its time. Dont just demand infomation.
