hey there. i've got the mods included with Darthmod 4.0, and have noticed the absence of the stock British Guard units. i understand why you've taken these out, but i'd like to have the First regiment of coldstream guards not just the 2nd, and so forth with the other foot units, plz tell me what to change in the db.
mush appreciateness.

Hi SPQR, if you mean that you want to add a second battalion for all the guards, then the easiest way is to open the mod, with DB editor, find the entries for the guards and clone them, then rename all the entries to whatever you like, you won't need to change the warscape_animated_lod_tables or the warscape_animated_tables, as you will be using the same model, you should also get the same icon appear in game.
To add their name to the game ie. "The 1st battalion Coldstream Guards", you need to open the UCP loc file with PFM, go to the bottom of this and you will see how the names are added in, just add yours and save.
Be patient with both tools as they can be a little tricky, you may have to play around a bit with the DB editor as it dosn't always let you clone.
Hope this helps

Thanks gary, hadn't forgotten you, as for the new DLC, great if we could use it for modding, theres a couple of models that would be ideal, the US grenadier has a different mitre, maybe for the British and
the light dragoon would be great, but as additional units, adds very little to my game.

Why? They weren't worn in this era.. and neither they nor powdered hair were really worn on campaign. They fall into the terrible cliche view of the British army..
Are you going to make some bearskin cap grenadiers?

Hi general, thanks for the +Rep, 2 reasons I don't use wigs , the first is as Dain points out below, they weren't taken to war, except for officers, and second, I've never managed to do a convincing wig they all look like someone has dropped a pot of white emulsion on their heads. So will continue to avoid them.

One request, Good Sir Pom.
Could you also release a normal sized units version? I've tried to mod the current versions myself, but, despite much help from Hussarl, I have not been able to get the DB editor or the PFM to work on my PC.

My bad, Pom. I should have said a Darth version with normal sized units. As you know, Darth ups the units sizes, and that's often harder on older pcs. So, evey now and then, someone on the Darth team is kind enough to release a submod of the last version with "normal" units sizes (so that large =150, or something like that).
Hi again Pom I Think the movie of the last mohican should inspirate you for the texturing:

I'm not planning to release another version, sorry, when I play Darth I always set the unit size to large which gives me 225 for a line regiment, or 150 if I set it to medium, I have the same problem as you, I love the BAI, my PC hates the unit sizes.
Try this link from Sir Digby, it helps with freeing memory use to improve your graphic performance, I use this as I keep so much rubbish on mine.
