    Default Help with error in EDU or Modeldb code

    I'm trying to put a new unit into M2TW and have completed the EDU and modeldb entries (along with the UI and text ones, haven't done EDB yet because I wanted to see if it worked in game) and I'm getting a crash on startup. The code below are the only edits in the EDU and modeldb, and the game works again when I put in backups.

    I was wondering if anyone could look at the code for below to see if they could see any errors (or think of anything else that might be causing the crash?). The mesh file (the only new file I have added) is in the right directory and everything seemed fine in milkshape when it was a m3d file. Thanks in advance.

    Well, this is the wrong place for a question like this(you'll have better luck in the Mod Workshop), but I may be able to help you. Have you incremented the number at the top of the ModelsDB file. I'm not sure what it is set to in Third Age(in the vanilla ModelsDB it's 701.)

    Sorry, wasn't quite sure where modding help was. To answer your question, no, I haven't, but since I have added entries into the modelsdb before without doing so, I doubt it is the cause of the crashes.

    Edit: I'll repost this over in the mod workshop. A mod can lock/delete this one if he or she wishes.

    Have you used the ModelDB checker to check line numbers and number of entries? Also do you have the animations for the 'MTW2_Slow_Mass_Longbowman_String' and 'MTW2_Non_Shield_Slow'?

    Good point--I didn't notice yesterday when I looked at this, but those animations have got to exist. I don't remember what's in TA:TW. . .

    You can make certain that this is the issue by copying over the animations folder and descr_skeleton.txt from TA:TW.

    It took me a long while to realize just how critical the spaces are, but they will kill you.
