Default Tel Aviv within range as Hamas tests new rocket

Revealing a significant enhancement to its capabilities since the Israeli offensive in Gaza in late 2008/early 2009, the Palestinian militant movement Hamas has successfully test-fired a new, 60 km-range rocket, Israeli lawmakers were told on 3 November. Major General Amos Yadlin, chief of military intelligence, said that the new rocket would be able to reach Tel Aviv and Israel's international airport, effectively placing three million Israelis within reach of Hamas rockets

So, do you believe this will cause Israel to act out, or does Hamas being able to threaten more Israelis help in creating more cooperation? How will this affect, if at all, Palestine's bid to be recognized as a nation in the UN which will begin at some point in the near future according to Palestinian officials?

It will affect the situation in positive way:

The depraved people of Tel abib will finally realize what Sderot has been through.
They 'might' reconsider their foolishness and repel the agressor....but this is only a possibility....Until Hamas pours a few Qassamim on their deluded heads!

    Hum, we'll live and see.

This is bad news for Israeli civilians and of course the final bill will be placed upon the Palestinians.

Seriously, how can this be good news for Palestinians? They don't have any control over what Hamas does and Hamas might shoot these rockets at Israeli civilians. That is terrible yes, but you can bet your ass that the number of Palestinian casualties will be far greater during any form of counter attack.

This conflict concerns you as little as it does to me, but for some strange reason I thought that the Political Mudpit was a public TWC section, I'm very sorry for entering this VIP section.

....They might be expecting more, don't you think?

Are you being serious? Are you insinuating that Palestinians care for Israelis?

What's so terrible? Palestinians were the first to danced after having learned 'bout 9/11> 3000 dead.
Westerners were the first to cry after having learned about Operation Cast Lead> 1300 dead according to Palestinian sources.....If that's true; they only payed half the price of their biggotry!

    Watch your tongue btw.

I think that you don't understand my situation so let me explain it; in a few months, I'll be joining Tzahal for 3 years; I am thus much more concerned by the issue of this conflict than you.

Not really no......Your daily propaganda (and, perhaps; yourself) has been applying this quote.
You weren't able to disprove me for a simple reason: I lie only if one's life's endangered by the truth.

I'm doing this for the last time; I've had enough of taking care of you as if you were a baby:

then stop calling palestinians shadow people and sub humans. That lie endangers an entire people, that lie is the catalyst for a second holocaust, this time with the isrealis in the deaths heads hats. And stop repeatin the lie that Isreal is a democracy, it is not. When do the palestinians get a vote in the lands there families have lived in for hundreds of years? And no it is YOUR LIE, YOU ARE THE PROPOGANDIST, you are the RAcist, the facist, the one who wants genocide, collective punishment, you sir are a loathsome human being, a disgrace, a hate monger, you have called for perpetual war to 'strengthen' your people, for genocide of palestinians.

You're not even addressing my point, there's a difference between Hamas and Palestinian civilians, one will shoot missiles and receive cash and the other will have to take the blow of the IDF.

Maybe a lot don't anymore, is that a reason to let them suffer once Hamas starts shooting missiles at Tel Aviv.

So because there are Palestinians who are happy about this, they all deserve to die? What kind of nonsense is this? You have a very disturbing eye for an eye attitude.

Ah thanks for the enlightment, so because you join the ranks because of your warmongering ideals, you have the right to say anything you want about this issue and I'm barred of the whole discussion? Well thank you for telling this, I'll be sure to tell you to get out if you enter a thread about Afghanistan. /Sarcasm off. Which I'm not going to do though, I rather stay here.

I don't think Hamas has ever cared about inflicting collateral damage.

In fact, I'm quite sure they aim to do so.

Also true, judging from what I've seen at least.

    Unfortunately, no.

Perhaps Israel will realize that being aggressive isn't in the best interest of it or its people while Hamas will realise that having missiles being able to target civilians doesn't help your own people survive, quite the opposite.

On the other hand, I wouldn't bet on it.

It seems I won't take part in this discussion after all. I have read a lot of things that I disagree with, but it seems pointless to get in a discussion here.

Hamas has another playing card. After the Gaza war, I'm not surprised they've work so hard to get such weapons, Israel will think twice before invading Palestinians again given this.
