Default Misty Mountains (Always Winter) ???

When I picture Misty Mountains from the movie and the LOTRO game it is always snowy. A sort of winter pole of Middle Earth.

Is there any mods that allow the land to be winter, for Misty Mountains? Or even better, to more resemble some of the high peaking mountains as much as possible?

I think I'm too used to the landscapes of LOTRO, and the maps in TATW look less surreal.

They can't always be snowy, else they'd be the "Snowy Mountains" not the "Misty Mountains". Duh.

The White Mountains were always snow capped. Not the Misty. However some of the mountains from the range would always be snow capped.

In the movie remember that they are only on the mountains for a short period of time.

All Im saying is that Lord of the Rings is Fantasy, not meant to feel like reality. All fantasy movie and games I know, usually have a surreal feel to them, if you know the definition to that word. I do know that places in Middle Earth and other Fantasy have seasons, but there is usually something magical about certain lands in Fantasy movies. Like lands of eternal snow, eternal autumn, eternal darkness, etc. That maybe a powerful wizard has cast a spell on. And like I said Lord of the Rings online, though it may not be accurate really emphasizes Fantasy in its landscapes. As well did Battle for Middle Earth 2.

And snow covered Misty Mountains is going to make all the difference?
I suggest you go back to playing your other LOTR games!

    Immersion.

Now who is the one being insulting.

WHOAWHOAWHOAWHOAAAA we need to get a grip on ourselves folks.

With the latest raft of people I've seen come in recently since even I've joined a few months ago, I've noticed a MASSIVE increase in people feeling they've been insulted, yet because they cannot a) be arsed to learn the language properly or b) be arsed to read was written properly, or c) be arsed at all, they do not realise they have been insulting.

Grow a pair, or enjoy your 11th birthday, and come back in 2 years time when you've learnt the difference between being called stupid and stupendous.

As for the idea of the Misty Mountains being snowcapped, while it's a nice idea - I'd prefer only a very few of the outer slopes and approaches to be snowy - what the roads a meant to show are the underground passages.

Simple, he is implying that I do not know what surreal means. How does he come to this conclusion? Maybe if he said "they have a phantasmagorical feel to them" I might be wtf please explain.... but come on, i'd expect my 10yr old nephew to know what surreal means!

Hmmm, you give counsel and then you are totally contradicting by being insulting yourself?
Maybe if you want peoples attitude to change then why not set an example instead of ranting and throwing out insults?? Your not helping in the slightest.

Vaz and DGM make very fair points. I didn't see any insulting before Vaz's post, but he is right. People need to stop being hyper-sensitive. It seems that whenever anyone has even a slight suggestion or criticism, people start bringing out the "what right do you have to insult the modders?" and "I don't see you making any improvements yourself!?". It's wrong, so yeah, please do develop a sense of maturity, for the good of the community as a whole!
    Anyway...
TATW definitely has "immersion" issues. This is to do with the M2TW landscape in battles. It sucks compared to RTW. RTW had the most versatile battle map i had really seen, eg nearby cities are visible, coastlines and nearby ships, opposing coastlines across bays, reinforcements appearing later in battles, more undulating hills and forests, the list goes on and on.
