Yeah, no problem. In this case I think the Arabic is correct but maybe the English translation is wrong.

The term is a direct transliteration of the term used by the historian Ibn al-Qalanisi who lived from 1073-1176 (465-555 in the Islamic calendar). He was the Ra'i of Damascus. The transliteration was done by a historian named Nuwayri in 1908.

Could shira be a different word than you are thinking? Or maybe his dialect is different.

Hmm, German seems to be the basicaly only language wich writes it with one "t". Makes sense tho, since the "o" is the most pronounced letter here.

We had German for four years in high-school and I never could really get the hang of it. A shame too, for us Slovenes it's more practical to know German than English, a lot of people go to work in Austria or in your country because you have a much better chance of getting a decent job there.

Yeah, German is a language relatively hard to learn. The words are longer than in English plus we have not just one article but even three.
