    Default Ok ...i am lost..

The last time i played RTR was when the 6.0 gold edition was released ..
I remember that the roman army's reform did not happen (i played to the end of the game's turns)...
    What i liked ?
The realism in units afcourse i realy enjoyed all the factions!!!
I played in a net cafe pc that removed RTW game after a while to refresh the games stock....
Now that i have a pc of my own i want to try the latest version of RTR .
What i mean the latest version?
I mean the main mod 7.0 8.0 or what ever...
There is a huge colection of versions, subversions and submods...
Can someone please write to me the link of the latest version that is compatible with RTW 1.5 ?
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

IWTE tool master and world txt one like this, needed inorder to release TGC 1.0 official to help TWC to survive.
Adding MARKA HORSES in your mod and create new varietions of them. Tutorial RESTORED.

That would be RTRPE v1.9. FOE and TIC are regional campaigns(covering less of the world map than RTRPE) and are both for BI v1.6. RTRPE is a port of RTR 6 Gold to the engine of RTW v1.5. It adds stuff like night battles and a couple other small things, but other than that you should be familiar with it. Make sure you also install the revolt ctd fix and if you don`t want to make a separate game install choose the mod switch version of RTRPE(the one posted by Maced0n).

Also, you could try ExRM (Extended Realism Mod) or AqDs mod (which are based on RTRPE) but simply are more up-to-date

Oh, and even though it's a regional campaign, you should try RTR VII - FoE. it's focus is on the great conflicts in the western mediterranean between Rome, Epeiros, Carthage and later on even Macedon. And if you keep checking the forum, then somehwere around New Year there will be a pretty huge expansion for FoE which makes it more Grand Campaign like

For a full list of RTR mods and submods, you can check the RTR downloads and mod index, which is stickied in the main forum

RTR PE 1.9 that is...(atleast for the start)...
There are two versions of 1.9 the simple and the "switc mod" one...
    What are their diferences?
Could i "copy" the RTW 1.5 in a folder with the name RTR and install the mod in there?

Modswitch versions install the mod to its own folder, thus allowing you to install multiple mods on the same computer without needing any fancy tricks.

From older versions of RTR onwards.

RTR 6 Gold (6.0 Gold) - The last official release of the 6.x series. This is not modswitch, and it was designed for the RTW 1.2 patch, which has since been superseded. Not recommended.
RTR Platinum Edition (RTR PE) - Porting 6 Gold to the RTW 1.5 patch, which solved the gamecrippling save/reload problem. In later versions, it made its own gameplay modifications to the basic 6 Gold platform, but the very fact that it uses the 1.5/1.6 patch makes it the preferred version over 6 Gold. The last version of Platinum was the 1.9 release, and it uses modswitch.
Extended Realism (ExRM) - This is a further modification of the above series, built on the 1.9 Platinum release. It's recognisably a continuation of the RTR 6.x series, but unlike the above, it's still "live", as it's still being developed. The latest version is 3.5. Uses modswitch.
The Iberian Conflict (TIC) - The first release of the VII series. A mini-campaign set in Iberia, with Hamilcar Barca's Carthage and the Celtiberians as the two playable factions. Uses modswitch.
Fate of £mpires (FOE) - The second release of the VII series. A medi-campaign set in the western Mediterranean. Covers the invasion of Italy by Pyrrhus through to the end of the third century BC, at a time when Rome hadn't yet become the undisputed master of the region. A very new release, the community are still exploring the nuances of this mod. Uses modswitch.

There should be no difference between the mod switch and non-mod switch versions of RTR PE. However, I'd go with the mod switch version. Even though I keep each RTW mod in it's own folder.

So, I guess that last bit answered your second question - yes, simply take a copy of a clean working RTW 1.5 and use that as a base for the mod (in it's own folder).

I mean the "hoplite" animation that hold the spears uphand(over their solders)and the phalanx animation that the phalangites hold their sarrissa with their both hands and have their shields a bit back on their arm...

RTR VII The Iberian Conflict and RTR VII Fate Of Empires are on a different level than RTR 6 Platinum. Nothing against the work that went into the RTR 6 versions, but the two RTR VII releases are head and shoulders above them.

I think it would be best to promote RTR VII as the current version even if it contains only sub-campaigns. TIC and FOE are exceptional and should be flaunted as such.

I think all three can co-exist without a problem. If someone wants to play a 'grand campaign' or one of the factions not in TIC or FoE then they still have RTR PE (and itself has many mods created for it).

If people want to have a short campaign then they have the choice of Carthage or Celtiberians in TIC (I believe there is an 'all factions playable' mod as well). If they want a slightly longer and expanded area of operations then there is FoE.

Like most mods RTR has evolved over time - the skins used in TIC and FoE are a higher resolution than was used in RTR 6 and RTR PE. The RTR 6 mods are still enjoyable to play.

You indeed need BI for TIC and FoE, however there are tricks to play ExRM with RTW 1.5

I am sure that someone would like to know what those tricks are (so long as they are legal).

All I know is that they do exist... if you want to know them, then just search the ExRM forum. I have BI so I never had to use those tricks. But it had something to do with removing BI features from some text files and such (ie totally legal )
