    Default Inheritance?

Hey was just wondering if its possible to inherit another faction's land?

As in my new game, I married off a princess to a faction heir (and their princess to my faction heir) and he appeared in my family tree.

So if I killed off the other factions family members, and had an adult son from my faction heir would I inherit the land?

Unfortunately not. If an AI faction's family is wiped out they whole faction turns rebel, even if you have marriage alliances and whatnot.
"Muscovy", as its rulers have previously called it, is a sleeping giant, with age-old traditions and ways of doing things. Here, the feudal way of life has become so entrenched that the serfs are as tied to the land as cattle, and with almost as few rights. It is a vast, deeply conservative and religious country: Mother Russia and the Orthodox Church are the two pillars of national belief. The Tsar may be the father of his people, but by tradition and practice he is a stern parent. Ivan the Terrible was well named, and he has not been the only ruler with an iron will. Russia is the "Third Rome". The last bastion of Orthodox Christianity.

As far as I know there is no inheritance laws or statues. They did try to implement something like that in SS and nothing came out of it.

Due to one of the AI's cheats, they can never die out.

If they're reduced to just the king through whatever reason, on their next turn, they will have an heir and an extra. Kill off those two, and another two will be generated on their next turn, and so on.

It's possible to assassinate a faction to death, but it requires a lot of highly skilled assassins in every province of your target faction. I managed to take England out this way as Scotland.

As to the OP, nope, there's nothing to inherit. It would make for some very fun gameplay. It's one of the core reasons behind the 100 Years War.

I know, it use to work in Medieval one (from memory) so you could click end of turn and end up with a random province.

No you cannot inherit another factions land. You can only gain land through conquest and/or buying a settlement.
