    Default Crossbowmen on the walls

Did anyone ever come up with a way to make crossbowmen more effective at defending walls? (A search of the forums suggests not...) Ideally they should be able to shoot through the crenelations, but they don't seem to be able to, so they arc their shoots inefficiently reducing the number of casualties they inflict.

Edit: OH WOW. I spoke too soon. Just changing the max angle to 30 massively improved performance! I thought the problem was that they douldn't fire DOWN, but actually it was that they chose to fire UP when they didn't need to!

Edit 2: Now, is there anything that can be done for gunners on the walls? I tried the same angle adjustment but it didn't seem to help. Or do they just
    fire too slow?

They are just slow. Their best feature is the scare, not the punch.

Yes both crossbowmen and javelin men require a spesial use on walls.
They both have to aim in a more or less straight line of "fire".
Both must use their weapons near maximum range.
That means that crossbowmen always must aim enemy units that are in some distance from walls.
    Javelinmen also!
    See this picture for javelinmen.

Now the same area for crossbowmen is in bigger distance from the walls.
Crossbowmen are a very usefull unit if you combine them with other units.
    Aim always distand enemy troops!
TGC in order to continue its development seak one or more desicated scripters to put our campaign scripts mess to an order plus to create new events and create the finall missing factions recruitment system. In return TGC will give permision to those that will help to use its material stepe by step. The result will be a fully released TGC plus many mods that will benefit TGC's material.
Despite the mod is dead does not mean that anyone can use its material
    read this to avoid misunderstandings.

Thanks for advices. On your picture it looks like only the cavalry which probably just stood for too long in front of the walls got some damage. With such missile units as javelinmen or crossbowmen the assaulting troops should have sustained much more damage before and under the walls as these kinds of weapons allow to shoot strait downwards. I was curioused if anyone succeeded getting such properties of projectiles in M2TW:-)
