A multiplayer game

That could be interesting. Westeros: Total War is compatible with hotseat multiplayer?

Yes, it is compatible. I've played one or two hotseat campaigns, mostly to check through different factions in the same playthrough. It *should* work.

I went into the multiplayer menu and hotseat was not an option. how do you start a hotseat campaign if it is not in the menu?

You need to add the [hotseat] tags to your medieval2.preference file (it should be in Program Files/Sega/Medieval II Total War, or wherever you installed the game to). For example, add

[hotseat]
autoresolve_battles = 1
disable_console = 0
disable_papal_elections = 1
save_prefs = 1
update_ai_camera = 0
validate_diplomacy = 1

Of course, change the others to whatever preferences you wish to have.

Ok so I went into that file and the hotseat line was already there. The hotseat option works on vanilla mtw2 as well as stainless steal and third age total war, Its just not giving me the option in the westeros menu. Is there a file in the mod folder that I could modify?

Oh, it's not in the menu. You go into singleplayer campaign, and you can select multiple faction shields. It's weird...

I thought that the hotseat function was delayed until the next patch? If not, I would be interested in testing a multiplayer game.

A hotseat for this mod sounds interesting... Although, it still has quite a bit of work to be done on it.

I also would love to be able to play this on hotseat, however, editing the .cfg file didn't work for me. Are there any other ways I could go about doing this?

I think the lack of hot seat is due to an interface issue. I know I had it working at one point. We'll make sure to re-add hot seat when we release v1.0

Thats just froggin brilliant.....shame to admit it i never knew this to be possible!! Now i can conqour all of westeros(and in next patch free cities and valyria and so forth) At the same time i destroy my brothers faction first of all????!

I hate to start this, but!, if "anyone" (meaning me, heh) would get the alpha to run a hotseat game, would you guys like to start a multiplayer campaign of sorts?
