[HELP]: How can units be elliminated from a faction?

I need to know how units can be elliminated from a faction. For both camapign and custom battles.

If you want a unit gone from a specific faction and its recruited by other factions, it's easy, just erase ownership for that faction in EU and EDB.

If you want that unit eliminated completley, it can be more difficult. For example, if it is also a rebel unit (ownership also says slave) you will need to modify descr_rebel_factions. Mercenary units also need more modification.

A simple way I suggest to completely rid a unit is to do a search in your data folder and eliminate all references to it >not the files, just the references to that unit.

So, if I got what you meant... You just erase the faction ownership from EU and EDB and it disappears from the custom battle unit selection and the recruitment options during campaign. Only that?

if it is a unit that is recruited by multiple factions and you are only erasing one factions ability to recruit it.

Check descr_strat and campaign_script for references to the units too.
