No, there isn't. You can do it manually, but I think there's no fun in playing DTW with 0turns recruitment.

yeah, if u want no turns try Rome Serctum or SPQR, this mod is more historically acurate though

The fact is that those mods have TOO MANY BATTLES! You destroy an army of elites, the following turn you have to face another 5 armies of elites...I remember one of my last RS campaigns, the Seleucids had something like 80 full stacks of high-level troops.

Yeah, if u like that kind of thing do it, but DTW is the best for building up and doing historically acurate battles

To be honest, after playing Shogun: Total War for a few days, I got lots of great ideas that could be used to completely change the DTW experience and make it lots of fun too.

It's better as it is right now though (1-turn recruitment). I think the main part of any strategy is to get more places where to recruit men. Like in many other strategy games like StarCraft - you usually create 6 or more barracks to get more men faster. The same should apply to DTW - you need to capture more and more cities to be able to train more and more men.

Of course it's not entirely accurate historically, you should be able to train a bit more, but it's a nice balancing factor.

P.S. - Levy Hoplites have 0 turn recruitment, but they're rubbish too, since they are basically peasants who take up arms to defend the state

You need 0-turns recruitement? I'm barely coping with the insane amount of units the AI throws against you in this mod (a good thing, by the way; I've had my best battles yet thanks to DTW - and the better AI provided by Alexander). Even Thrace, which in mods like RTR is usually weak and puny and has no future, is capable in DTW of throwing against you 1-2 new full stacks each turn. Pardon me, but why on earth would you want even more units?

yeah, shogun total war was awesome, Red maybe u should try and merge some of the ideas together. having 1 turn is the best way and it stays with the original programing of vanilla

This is a mod with over-restricted economies...
I just had to remove the peasants to make it work

Overall, I think the recruitment system in DTW is nearly perfect, besides i'd prefer some units not to take 3 turns to recruit, but that's obviously for balance..
