    Default why cant I withdraw

    Why is it I cant withdraw my General from battle. Entered battle, was heavily outnumbered, killed thousands but when I started to loose I could withdraw everyone but him. Why?

    Did u try to retreat before the battle started? If you did it doesn't' let your general escape during the battle.

    If the army has no movement point left when attacked, they can't retreat. That should apply to all units, not just the general though.

    And, in some rare ocasions, death of your general/the agents that were joined up with your army.

    Sat grieving at the cost of coals;
    For Hell had been annexed of late,
    And was a sovereign Southern State.
