Atheists And Their Parents...

Hello my friends and not-so-friends. I've come here today to collect some data for a possible project of mine in the real world.

Now I was just curious and wanted to ask Atheists out there, were your parents religious or not, and do you get along with them or not?

My mother is religious, being originally a Muslim and converting to Christianity. My father is irreligious, but I'm not sure if I would go so far as describing him as atheist. To be honest, religion simply was not a part of the family experience and we were taught to be open-minded and considerate, if at some point we felt that we were compelled to associate with one religion or another I doubt it would have led to any negativity.

Mother mostly atheist, though she hesitates to actually call herself that, my father the kind of Christian who never goes to Church and kinda believes.
But all in all, religion wasn't really part of my upbringing.

All my family is very religious, and my parents and sister are all very spiritual. I get along fine with them and laugh my ass of when my mother talks about her spiritual mambo jumbo.

My parents are atheists I get allong with them. Their parents are monotheists and they get along with my parents and me.

My parents are catholic church goers and community participators but neither actually believe in a god, it's just the whole tradition and actual habit that they can't let go of. I dunno what to pick.

I am very thankful that religion was never crammed down my throat as a kid. My mother is semi-religious; believes in god but that's about it. My father is not very religious, don't know if he believes in god or not. I can't ever recall him expressing any opinions on religion or god, and I don't care enough to ask him about his beliefs. Either way I get along with them fine.

Now that I think about it, I should have voted not religious for my parents.

My mother is Catholic, father is Atheist as far as I know, and I get along perfectly with them

Both of my parents are atheists, but i didn't find out until i was atleast 18 years old.

My mother is 'religious' but not ultra religious, she never goes to church and is open minded. My father is pretty agnostic... Religion isn't major in our lives (Thank god LOL) so we could careless if someone is looking down on us.

My mother's an agnostic/atheist Christian, and my Dad has never really made clear any religious affiliation, though I doubt he's a believer. I get along great with both.
