This mod is almost unplayable for all who don't speak Russian. I'm sorry, but nowadays making a mod in other language than English is... well very strange. We're all eagerly waiting for full english translation because it's fantastic mod and I'm sure many wans to play it but can't because they completely don't understand it.

When I was a kid, I did not like at all the idea that English is the universal language, although my English teacher never understood ...

However, when I play a MOD download from TW Center, I must read it in English ... and I do not tore his clothes for it ...

Playing this mod encouraged me to learn the Cyrillic alphabet, as it happens. Once you learn that, you can generally read the most important things. I have also been to a few Russian Orthodox churches in my time, so some of the words like 'Pravoslavie' were familiar to me. I found the mod very educational!

Out of interest, what does the 1.31 patch actually change? Was there something about it (apart from the language) that people don't like so much? I would be prepared to play the mod in Russian rather than English, if the 1.31 patch is better than 1.22.

I found a putative English patch somewhere else, however, I had to pay money for the download.

Some Events:
Finish the game after freezing is able with: Power or Reset button.
Once I did get following: push about 6x ALT+F4 and then Strg ALT Entf (Delete-key)-
That only time I could not finish it without Reset^^.

By the way: Everytime I push the card of a SINGLE unit or an General the game freezes, everytime I push an General or Army it freezes, Everytime i push on the Pic of Generals or Armies in the summ up of als armies of ones side it freezes!

Maybe the problem is related to the Unit Cards?

OK, here is a quickly made translation of most of the files using the google translator, this took a very long time to make and was very frustrating. If all goes to plan I will be going through FILE BY FILE and fixing up the language, but don't expect that anytime soon. Finally the mod will be playable for English speakers.

This includes translations for buildings, units, traits, ancillaries, events, and more.

I also used some of the basic text files from RTR (I don't think they are unique to that mod, but if they are I apologize, if anyone can verify this for me that'd be great) only because I didn't backup my original BI ones.


BTW, this is only for 1.22 not the later version, it expands upon the original partial translation.

Don't know if the files are corrupted, but I can't install the mod. I unrar the v.1.2, setup the installer but when it comes the loading screen, the installer simply doesn't go on, it only shows a green bar in the progress window. Any ideas?

If you was downloading the MOD of filefront.com :

The installer takes the time to install the MOD, be patient, if you've seen a game image as wallpaper, and a bar (do not remember what color) in the lower right corner, which takes time to move (it sometimes takes some minutes to start, even)... means that you're installing the MOD, =), dont worry, let it be.

In my case for example, takes up to 5 or 10 minutes to install (maybe more, do not remember exactly).

The original game is in russian, right.

El_Bison english patch translate: units names (not descriptions), characters names, cities & regions names, and menu... and nothing more as far I remember.

I hope which later may have a final version of the English translation... everything is translated (at least as important), just need someone or some that give a definite form... you can see more information here:

Thanks for the info. I started a campaign as Bulgaria, and I've got to say that it's incredibly good fun so far. I love the setting, the time period, the music, the units, everything. I'm even starting to learn a little Russian! It's challenging and very rewarding at the same time. I think that the OiM team has done a tremendous job.
