What do you think?

1- They don't bother me. I treat them like everyone else. I even have Atheist friends.

2- It's just some Atheists, the one that talk too much or try to convert me. Most are ok, but the others are pushing it.

3- Sometimes they get tiresome. It's annoying listening to them all the time. Sure, they might be on to some things, but most of the time they don't seem to know what they are talking about.

4- I'm tired of them. Seriously, the world could have progressed so much further without them. Think of what it would be like if we accepted there was a God and quit being so arrogant. Just think...

5- Pretty much hate them. Enough said.

6- I'm a mix. I fit into more than one category.

7- No opinion really. I just ignore them and go about my life.

Well, generally I can talk with Atheists and we usually agree. I think that condemning yourself to some sort of afterlife is unhelpful at best, and useless at worst. Atheists usually look at situations in a more practical and pragmatic way than most religious people, and in that point, yeah, I can largely find myself. However, some atheists, who staunchly say there is no God and try and force that point of view upon someone are just as bad as those who do the exact opposite.

I haven't met many of those yet, haha.

Also, I do think that atheists who are convinced for 100% don't really exist. I think there is always something inside people, looking out for some sort of (misguided, perhaps) hope in dark times, and I don't think that humans can entirely extinguish that.

atheists in foxholes eh? Not so much a proof of god or a comment on atheism so much as highlighting the remarkable love humans share for life, especially when it is threatened. We'll cling to any hope no matter how absurd if it could offer a solution to the hope we can extend our consciousness past an abrupt end.

I agree! Most athiests I have met(when I knew they were athiests) are the most religious people I have ever seen.

I know a lot of religious people like saying that...but it's not actually true. Or at least I don't see how it is.

i've never actually meet an atheist who tries to convert other people.

people debate these issues here because that's what this forum is for. i come here to talk about this stuff with other people who share my enthusiasm for doing so. it seems ironic that someone with a religious perspective would hate people, if you actually sincerely believe that there is eternal paradise/punishment the atheists are the victims, why would you hate them.
