Really, are there any major differences between the two types of battles?
In Arcade style battles, there is no limit for ammunition. This really isn't much of a difference however, in most games I play, my ranged units never usually run out of ammo in the first place. Either the battle has ended before then or they are engaged by enemy units.
Classic is much better. In arcade there is no morale, no ammo and less realistic altogether.
I agree. Much less realistic in arcadey battles. Lack of moral worries and unlimited ammo aplenty changes battles into a slugfest with little room for tactics or battlefield finesse.
Point..click...and leave 'em to it. Not very realistic.
Arcade is a deadly mode to play on with Horse Archer factions... It does compensate for the AI's inability to manage its troops fatigue level, but that hardly is worth the destruction of moral and unlimited ammunition.

And in arcade mode there is no use of flanking or attacking from behind.

Thanks for the feedback, I've always wondered the difference, plus rep to all of you.
I have some kind of vague memory of not being able to deploy my troops in a formation I like in arcade style battles.
I only tried arcade once and I did not have the option to deploy my troops, the battle just started when it had loaded.
No morale, awful idea, every unit basically fights to the death. No men on the losing side leave the field.
Ammunition is unlimited meaning if you are attacking an army which has no missile then you can obliterate their entire army without moving your men. AI is retared enough without confusing them with unlimited ammo. Reminds me of Crassus in Parthia. Was it Crassus?
No fatigue also which means that your men do not tire so there is no point in saving fresh men in reserve.
Basically it is for the really new players, probably quite young who do not have any idea of the tactics of the battlefield.
Yea, in arcade mode HA's would be monsters. No tiring, no running out of arrows... just kiting and killing.
Not realistic at all.
