EB installation question

Every time i download the EB .exe, its always corrupted, as i cant download it in one go (takes too long), and every time i turn the computer off, it "pauses" the download, and then restart when i turn it back on, but after downloading, when launching the .exe file, it never work properly....

so, can anyone upload their "EB 1.2" file (C:\Program Files\The Creative Assemble\Rome - Total War), and condense it using WinRar? Then all i need to do is paste the file there, create another shortcut of my RTW .exe, and change the command line.

I'm failing to see how this would help. Winrar is never going to compress it as much as the installer has, and you will still end up with a large file to download over the course of a long time, and with just as much a chance of corruption as before. I would suggest trying to use the .torrent to download EB, as that as an automatic checker to ensure that the file is the same out as it was in.

i know but now i found out what the problem was with the installer....

i have a chinese-based text (if u know what i mean) computer, and some of the files are "changed" from weird symbols to chinese characters, and maybe if someone could upload a completely working english version of the EB file, then that might work....

i have tried torrenting it, but NO ONE EVER SEEDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you using vista ?? turn off UCA, and do not install under program files.

i AM using vista, i HAVE turned off UAC, and i HAVE TRIED to install it under a rome - total war folder in my documents....

i think the problem is that some of the original files have been converted automatically to weird chinese symbols....

Try creating an alternate username/account for Windows which has only Roman characters. Then try using that username to install EB. Once it is installed you can switch back to your default username, and delete the new one if you want.
