I tried this one, and i had a multi-front war with Romans,Carthagenians +the usual suspects: Iberians and Gauls.
My strategy is the following: (i can post some screenshots if you want)
1) forget the islands and destroy the fleet (saves some cash from income)
2) take Emprion , develop these 2 Cities to support a descent army
3) Take Iberian cities starting from the one below Emporion and go clockwise.
( Dont forget to destroy temples and barracks,but not the auxiliary ones,you will need them)
4)last city to take in Iberian peninsula must be Numantia (before you turn against Carthage)
I find that is better to move your capital to Numantia
5)Colonization: you build all available lvls of temples,then odeon,then
colonize (turn to seasonal )
During that time you have to rely mostly on aux units,which in this case are not bad at all
6)Now it's Carthage's turn
