Historical Battles

Hi Everyone,

I have recently enjoyed using the battle editor on Third Age and I have made a battle of the five armies from the end of the hobbit, which I really enjoy playing. I was wondering if there was any way I could extract the file from my m2tw folders and upload it so other people could play it.

Also this led me to think that if I made some more they could become a slightly more permanent thing for the next version of the actual mod, cos when I first got tatw i did miss historical battles.

Has anyone got any suggestions for battles? How would I go about uploading them? And who would I talk to about adding them to the mod?

I don't know about extarcting them but you should look in the Guides, Art & Ressources section.
Some people already posted historical battles there so maybe they explained how to do it.

Just go to your Third_Age/data/world/maps/battle/custom folder, and find the folder with the name of your historical battle and if you got winrar, just right click on the folder and choose Add to "name.rar", then a .rar file with the same name as your historical battle will be created in the folder, and then you just upload that .rar file

Thanks very much. Is there any chance of any of them ever getting into the mod?

If you mean if there is any chance that your historical battle is getting into the official mod, that probably depends on whether King Kong wants it in the mod or not

Though you could upload the battle onto the first post and ask for the thread to be moved to the sub-mod forum, so people who want to play it can download it..
