    Default Haradrim

Even though the Haradrim units are very well done, and some look great. They dont get me into the LOTR feeling very much, since they look more like arabs than haradrim. This is what im missing with them:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The spikes, the scale armour. Look at the first guy, look at what he has on his back. I dont think that is on any unit in the Harad roster.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
Look at this guys shoulders, they reach up almost over his head. This is the things I am missing with Harad.

The units that im very happy and impressed with are the muhads. I also like the Southron spearmen, since they got spikes on their shoulders. But there should be more spikes on weapons and stuff like that, it should look hand made.

If anyone could take the time to work abit on Harad that would be awesome.

In the books they are described as wearing a lot of bronze armour and scarlet cloth, "He came to rest in the fern a few feet away, face downward, green arrow-feathers sticking from his neck below a golden collar. His scarlet robes were tattered, his corslet of overlapping brazen plates was rent and hewn, his black plaits of hair braided with gold were drenched with blood. His brown hand still clutched the hilt of a broken sword."

ya and check out one the levels in lotr conquest the haradrim warriors wear red clocks and some wear masks like burlap sacks and their swords look like a large tusk split in two and looks nothing like the scimitars in game

Neither LoTR Conquest nor the movie represent some kind of J.R.R.-supported set-in-stone canon. TATW's interpretation is as valid is any.

It's probably only the Harad Spearmen and Archers that give out the "Arabian" feel but they are basic light units (conscripts in a way) wearing mostly cloth and some leather, it's not really appropriate to adorn them with spikes or any such accesories. They do wear red linens in accordance with the lore description.

Southron Warband is the more advanced unit so they get the spiked shoulderpads.

Yes but the weapons could still look alot more handmade, made out of bones and things like that, as you can see in the first picture. The Southron Warband could still use alot more spikes than what it has. I didnt fully understand your first sentence, but tatw is based-visually- on the movies and not completely on lore.
I like how Jaguar summoned that description, since the description is very good.

Not all the factions. There's no rule saying that everything has to be based on the movies not to mention pc games. That was my point.

The Harad Spearmen have nice serrated spear tips that look pretty cool. Not even Orcs are so "primitive" to use bone or stone weapons. I think the Haradrim can afford to put metal tips on their spears.

Yes possibly, but it would be nice for the lower class units. Bone spikes on the edges and a metal tip would be cool.

Doesn't the flag carrier guy have the spikes?

Well if you needed some inspiration for any modifications you're planning on doing, one of the Appendices from the extended RotK describes a little bit about what they were going for with the movie Haradrim. I think it was probably one of the WETA Workshop sections.

From what I can remember, they were going for a combination of cloth, bamboo and woven armor, with some exotic material flair like carved horn, somewhat precious stone (Not jewel 'precious' though), etc.
