[Decision] Vestigia Vetustatis moderation

The Curia asks the moderation staff to outlaw polls and OPs with no substance in the Vestigia Vetustatis. There is no good reason for the plethora of polls in a forum meant for discussion of history, and 2 sentence OPs consisting of a statement followed by "Discuss" are worthless, and don't deserve a thread.

I agree with and support this notion completely. The jocular nonsense which fills up what should be a serious forum spills over into others. V.V. would be much better if it focused on actual history discussions and articles, not on spurious polls and "whoizbettr?!" debates.

Full support. I have long advocated for this to be done, I'm glad someone finally made a proposal for it. A new sub forum should be created for them, or they should all be moved to the Thema Devia.

As an addendum, I absolutely would not be okay with this resulting in infractions forthwith. If a user has been told multiple times, obviously a disruptive posting warning might be in order. Besides that though I would hope these threads are met with closure and nothing more.

It's up to the moderators how they interpret this. I just want the VV rid of that rubbish, and for the moderators to know that they'll have the support of the citizenry in this. If non-citizens are upset by this curtailment of their right to spam the VV, that's their bad luck.
