    Default Sounds muddled up?

When adding a new faction, all the voices and sounds get muddled up.

For example the Silvan Elves sound like OOTMM, and OOTMM sounds like HRE and Rhun sounds like Isengard or some other orc faction? Anyone know whats causing this and how to change it? I dont really like my silvan elves yelling "ORCS!" and "PICK YOUR FEET UP!" and "*growl* you want a peice of this?!"
    This is quite irritating.

Maybe someone from the DaC team knows whats wrong? Since they are also a submod that adds several new factions.

yes, same for me and adding the new faction in descr_sound_accent don't work too..

EDIT : they give the solution here and it works, you must delete data\sounds\events.dat and events.idx :

    Yeah, I agree.
Its so irritating when my Elves say on the battlefield "Come on you lazy bastards!"
    Thanks for the fix!

I dont really understand what im meant to do. Should I add my faction to the appropriate accent and all the other accents will be fixed?

EDIT: Oh my, now there are no voices at all :O

    go to your mod folder/data/descr_sound_accent

add your faction with the others in the corresponding accent . for example :

    accent English
factions mongols, lorien, lindon, egypt, turks, scotland, milan, sicily, normans, saxons, slave

    accent Scottish
    factions moors

    accent French
    factions

    accent German
    factions england, hre, france, papal_states

    accent Mediterranean
    factions byzantium, portugal

    accent East_European
    factions russia, poland, hungary, denmark

    accent Arabic
    factions spain, venice

    accent Mongolian
    factions timurids, aztecs

And then you delete the two following files data\sounds\ events.dat and events.idx

It works for me, and it seems to work for Highland Kelt.

Accents is based on the slot in "descr_sm_factions", if I remember right and you haven't messed around too much
    in the sound files.

Cut and paste factions to the right slot to correct it. If you don't want the other factions to get messed up
you should add your new faction last in every file.

    DSF-slots

    1. Gondor
    2. Rohan
    3. Dale
    4. Dwarves
    5. Eriador
    6. High Elves
    7. Silvan Elves
    8. Mordor
    9. Isengard
    10. OoTMM
    11. Harad
    12. Rhûn
    13. Sauron

By, for example, switching out Mordor and Gondor to this:
    1. Mordor
    8. Gondor

Will also switch out ther accents

The nr. 1 reason that cause problems when modding sounds of TATW are some missing sound text files. These files are not present if you install the game. If you for instance made some changes and delete the events files in \data\sounds folder afterwards the voices tend to be screwed up in the game. Another cause might be that you did not extract all the sound files properly before deleting the events files.

So you need to download them and put them in the right folder. For more information and a link see part 2 & 3 of my music tutorial for TATW.
