The Broken Crescent Forums

We are very proud to announce that the new Broken Crescent forums has been established and we are in the process of moving our base of operations for our development team there. We hope to be a second home for TWC fans of Broken Crescent where you can partake in active discussions about the BC2.0 and future expansions to the modification. Along with our new forums a new Broken Crescent website is currently under construction and is planned to be our main portal for mod information, media and documentation.

Why were the new forums created?

While Broken Crescent has already seen two major releases, it is still a work in progress and will see more expansion, changes and improvements in the future. Broken Crescent will also look to expand our team and talent base to further increase the horizons of our mod and M2TW modification in general. Considering this a new fora and larger dedicated space for our growth was deemed necessary and desirable.

Are you leaving TWC?

Definitely not. TWC, along with the ORG, will continue to be the main portal and modding community which we will be rooted in. The Broken Crescent forums and website will simply be a supplementation to TWC for our fans and enthusiasts. We intend to always maintain our TWC forums, though time commitments mean we will seek to primarily support the expansion of the new wesbite and forums.

These are some new changes that will take place...

Technical Support policy: While we will continue to update and support our forums here the Broken Crescent team will operate primarily out of the new forums and will support technical help and assistance in the new Broken Crescent forums only.

Mini Modifications policy: A new feature of the forums are our the mini modifications forum. The Broken Crescent team will now allow mini mods of Broken Crescent and also larger projects at our new forums.

Questions and Inquiries policy: The new Broken Crescent forums will be the primary hub of activity for developers and team members of Broken Crescent. Any direct inquiries or discussion about the mod will only see developer input at the new forums mainly due to limited time of our team members.

Previews and Releases policy: All future previews and releases of Broken Crescent will be first announced on the new forums. The new forums will also host direct downloads of the mod and patches for registered members. Torrents and public downloads will continue to be posted at TWC. Previews will be posted first on our new forums and subsequently followed up by posts on TWC and the ORG.

We hope to see our fans and all those interested in the future development of this modification at our new forums along with TWC!

BROKEN CRESCENT: Questions and Suggestions and BROKEN CRESCENT: 2.0 - Feedback Patch 2.02 have been unstickied because indeed you can gain more information on the new BC board. We encourage you, guys, to register there.

But if you don't want to do so for whatever reason, I'm providing links to old threads so you can post there. Be assured that BC Team has permanent insight in this subforum. We will answer your questions and address your suggestions here, as well as on brokencrescent.com.

As most of you already know, brokencrescent.com is no more accessible.

We can be saddened. But we can also just accept this without a second thought.

Such things happen in the rapid stream called "life". BC community (if I may say so) is moving through the cataracts now, we are struggling with the breakers and rocks but we are still on the surface.

But seriously: BC is an undertaking. Temporarily its future is vague. But its future depends mostly on people and their willingness to go on with things.

The mod is not dead.

Hi everybody,

as you all know, Strelac and Miraj have left the team for their very own and good reasons - real life and modding can only coexist for a limited amount of time.

Version 2.02 is the result of months of hard work by the members of the BC team. Although, we tried hard to eliminate all bugs, there is still a nasty CTD bug, that throws a shadow on the otherwise numerous improvements in this version of BC. I myself lack the time and the motivation to make bigger plans for the future of BC, but I would like to fix this bug before taking any other decisions. At least this I want to finish.

Finally, I want to say thanks especially to Strelac for his hard work and dedication to this project. It was a great time working with you old friend!
