Default Is the A.I. affected by the plague?

They don't seem to be reacting to the plague in 6.2. They can still chug out stacks and stacks and I fought around 10 sieges during the plague. Is there anyway to just take out plagues all together in this game? the plague just seems pointless as it just seems to targets the player.

they are affected.. see the affected towns will have lower incomes since they are suffering by sickness.. how ever they cannot recruit if they go beyond positive income and those existing stacks you see are stacks made prior to the plague

It affects the AI. Plague events are set up for each settlement. They do not look at who controls each settlement first.

I plagued a city for the first time during a campaign. I took the opportunity to eliminate one of my deadbeat rebellious generals, too, by putting him on the same ship with my infected spy.

The ai always cranks out prodigious stacks, even in infected cities. The effect might seem small by itself but it adds to whatever other things I might be doing to weaken my opponent, like using a saboteur on the infected city at the same time.

yes thats an old trick yet seems effective.. putting your infected spies to ai's most profitable town or full stacked castles.
