Position of Quaestor

Okay i'm making this because again YATS is waiting on a Quaestor report.

Now the position of Quaestor, is almost the most important position in YATS, simply because if whoever is playing the Quaestor isn't promt in their report, then it can really hold YATS up.

So this is me begging (yes on hands and knees), whoever runs for the Quaestor position to try and be promt about it. If for whatever reason you think you won't be able to compile it within the first day or so, please PM me and i'll be more than happy to do it for you.

I happen to know that waiting for the report every term has driven some previous members away from YATS, it really is that important.

Now this isn't an accuasation, since i know most of us have been a little distracted at times, but it is a request that the person who runs for Quaestor tries not to be one of them.

Now in case your not sure, the duty of Quaestor is to open the save game, and give a report on the finances of Rome. A brief outline of the total income, and the expected expenses, is the only really compulserly thing,

First i would suggest checking the taxes and revolt risk in each city, and raise or lower it as nessicary. We might ask about it in the curia, but we understand why.

Then it is checking for cities that don't have any current construction, and proposing some. Although your free to propose whatever you like, i would suggest that if your character is a war monger, then build with military buildings in mind, and if your character is a peace loving pleb, sewers and arena's are more appropiate,

Again in the Curia, we may well give you a hard time, but that is in rp, and as all the older members of YATS will tell you, a fast report that is thought out, is a rare and very valued thing, even if our characters think otherwise

So please please please, if your Quaestor, make every attempt to make the report swiftly. And if you have any questions about it then feel free to PM me, even if its to say i can't do it until friday, please do it instead.

Raglan, I would love to finish off my report, but I lack a copy of Rome: Total War.

If somebody can get a screenshot of the finance page and a list of public order of the cities, I will immediately start working on a report.

We have a report for this term but without the game you can't do things that certain postions require, these are:

-Consuls
-Pro-Consuls
-Pro-Praetor
-Praetor (Doesn't necessarily require the game but with sometimes)

The other roles are basically roleplay and it's still possible to play the game without having a copy of the game. I did last time because I couldn't get the mod and it made the game no less fun

If I've missed any out guys feel free to add more.

I'd get my hands on the game if I could, but my internet sucks so much that it would take a few days to download it.

But if I can still be Quaestor, how would I go about making reports if I can't see what I'm supposed to be reporting on?

Anybody got any suggestions?

Well you just need to make one report in your term, unless the house requests it. So, for now the report is done, if there is need for extra stuff we'll give you a hand, though, everybody please remember that to be Quaestor you need the game.

the game really isn't expensive to buy, if you follow the links that are around in most forums (you know the announcement one that reads 'get empire total war here') it links to amazon, where a couple of months ago i had to replace my rtw, it cost me £2 (about a dollar fifty) including p&p

Besides being Quaestor then, is there anything else I could do?

stricktly speaking the game is only needed for 3 roles, consul, Quaestor and pro-consul (we don't have these at the moment)

although it can be handy sometimes to have a look at the game, everyone else doesn't overly need it - and we can always post screenshots and whatnot if you ask us to
