Default Game Question: Family Lines (mistake)

    Hello,

I live in Greece, I've played all Total War games exept of one or too expansions (Shogun ftW!!!), and I now own Rome: Total War, Barbarian Invasion, Medieval II: Total War (Colector's Edition) and Empire: Total War...

...And I would like to make a question to anyone who believe he can help me: Is there an (easy) way for me to somehow choose, in all of these three games, whom I like to be the next in line leader of my faction??

I mean, in Empire for example, when there's a King in charge, I would like to be able to choose who will be his heir to the Throne. I can't even see who his sons are!.. And in Medieval, although I can see, I can't choose! (I think that Rome had that which I ask if I remember correctly, haven't played it in a while...)

Also, I would like to know if you knew some few cool and "must" additions for the games I wrote above, in the form of easy installable update, that you think would enjoy adding in my games! (now that I've decided to re-install them )

    Thanks in advance!

(Edit: A single Light Infantryman??? I'm going for a wipe )

    Short answer: No.

Also, This forum could really do with a name change because new members often get confused.

Not really but it should reflect that this is the section for Questions and Suggestion about the site, not the game.

No problem mate, an easily made mistake. Have fun here on TWC.

So.. What do the powers that be think about making the name of this forum a bit more clear?
Perhaps just add the word "Forum", as in "Forum Questions and Suggestions". You catch my drift, no?

Oh don't worry, I wasn't addressing it to you but to the Administrators of this forum to change the name of the "Question and Suggestion forum" so new people like you wouldn't get confused.

Yeah, but do people actually bother reading those small letters under the title?
    I don't.. But that's not saying much.

Shouldn't we start a new thread to decide on a new name as I think many will be confused....

Perhaps a rename to 'Forum FAQ & Suggestions' might be more clear.
"Muscovy", as its rulers have previously called it, is a sleeping giant, with age-old traditions and ways of doing things. Here, the feudal way of life has become so entrenched that the serfs are as tied to the land as cattle, and with almost as few rights. It is a vast, deeply conservative and religious country: Mother Russia and the Orthodox Church are the two pillars of national belief. The Tsar may be the father of his people, but by tradition and practice he is a stern parent. Ivan the Terrible was well named, and he has not been the only ruler with an iron will. Russia is the "Third Rome". The last bastion of Orthodox Christianity.

I think it's about as clear as can possibly be.

How more clear can it be? If it can possible be more clear, then I suggest you (yes, I mean you) make a diffrent thread.

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

You'd have to scroll right past the TW forums to get to this one. It's common sense anyway.
