Ugh...most metal bands are not Satanic.
And where theis Trouble on that list! Call yourself a Christian and not have Trouble listed? That is blasphemy!
Well, alot of black/death metal bands are satanic.
And Ive never heard of trouble before. Could you reccomend a few songs?
Edit: sorry I'm on my iTouch at the moment and didn't see that YouTube link.
And thanks vizi, I'll check out those black metal bands you listed and some thrash metal, along with Death. I didn't know that there were alot of non satanic balck metal bands, I guess I just kinda assumed after checking out Darkthrone, Mayhem, Dimmu Borgir, Behemoth, etc.
And when I say satanic I don't mean evil, I mean songs that outrigt sing about Satan.

No they really are not. There is very few Statanic Metal bands (And non that I can think off that are Thrash or Death Metal). That shows a complete lack of understanding and sterotyping. Even Deicide aren't satanic (There guitarist is a Christian who goes to Church every Sunday) and they have songs such as 'Once upon the Cross', 'Bible Basher', 'Satan Spawn' and 'Kill the Christian'. The lead singer has an upside down cross branded into his forehead and Deicide means to kill a god. Doesn't make them Satanists. They just do it to shock overly sensitive people like you, plus the lead singer hates all religions (Including Satanism)
Seriously, stop being so sensitive or go listen to a different genre.

The guitarist going to church doesn't justify what they're doing. I don't give aif they're doing it to shock "overly sensitive people" like me or if they are true Satanists, I don't want to listen to songs like "Satan Spawn" or "Kill the Christian".
And not wanting to listen to songs that bash my religion or sing about the devil doesn't make me over-sensitive - it just means i dont want to listen to songs that bash my religion.
And I don't want to listen to another genre. Thanks for that completely unhelpful post.
Anyway, thanks everyone else for the suggestions, I will listen to them.
@Claudius Gothicus - I hope I didn't sound mad or offended in that post, I just didn't know any other way to say drugs aren't offensive. lol![]()

I don't think I've ever listened to a satanic song that wasn't a joke. Are you sure you're not just taking the lyrics too seriously?
That is hard because a lot of those he listed with **** have some awesome songs that might according to some oversensitive Christian could be called Satanic or bash Christianity. And a lot of the other ones are terrible and have no really good songs.
Besides, most metal is not Satanic. Death is a great Death Metal band that he could listen to. Same with Atheist (oooo God! The name!) are an awesome Death Metal band and they are listenable to the OP. Almost all thrash can be listened to by the OP. Same with prog metal. And black metal as well, because it isn't all about Satan. Blut Aus Nord, Ulver, Agalloch, and whatever else you want. It really isn't that hard to go to the metal section and find good metal that isn't going to sing about how much they love Satan and hate Christianity. Of course, there are some damn good bands who do claim that as part of their lyrical inspirations. No point in letting religion keep you from good music.
Psalm 9
Run to the Light
Trouble
There are Black Metal bands that are Christian. Most of them are terrible. Horde is alight though. And other black metal bands have songs about folklore, fantasy, depression, etc...doesn't all have to be about Satan. You listed Immortal. They are black metal. They just put out a new album. My friend said it was okay. It wasn't as strong of a comeback as he was hoping for though.
Yeah I heard their new album. I actually thought it was pretty good, but it's a matter of opinion.
Yea I haven't listened to it. The record store sold out. So I bought Slayer - World Painted Blood, Hypocrisy - A Taste of Extreme Divinity (which is really good), Skeletonwitch - Breathing the Fire (also very good) and Tom Waits - Blood Money.
But I will end up checking out the new Immortal sometime later this week.
This thread is too much lulz
Most Metal doesn't sing about Satan and even if they do some songs about it it's not like most of them are praising or something. Don't let your beliefs get in the way of your musical tastes

It is always nice when the choir chimes in with the chorus
Vizi, I really like Hypocracy and Skeletonwitch, but I can't say I'm a fan of Blut Aus Nord. Thanks for the reccomendations.![]()
There is Narnia
Oh come on you got to love the devil!
“Nothing could be more dangerous to the existence of this Republic than to introduce religion into politics”
That band Narnia seems kinda cool, but I couldn't watch the Dimmu Borgir vid. I turned it off right as Shagrath grabbed the cross and set on fire.
