    Default Record Unrest

    Hi there.
Having read all over, that 30 is the max amount of unrest one can suffer, I believe that I now has the record then. 2 x 42 in unrest......
Not that I really look forward to quelling it, as it will take for ever. There is no school of any kind by the way.

How come your AI is so aggressive? In my Prussia game, no nation has done anything, except Marathas beating Mughals, Spain destroying Portugal. You've got Spain expanding, Sweden expanding and Marathas too!

    Hi tuore.
This is at VH/VH. The A.I. is extremely aggressive. Besides, I have intervened in apox all wars in Europe. And being there, I have enemies all over, so, no peace for me here.

42 unrest and you have garrison in the city..?

I too believe that I've had more than 30 unrest, 36 maybe, but 42 seems like a new record.

@ Tuore---I have never heard or seen this and sadly have no pic but, in my Sweden campaign VH/H year 1745 Poland-Lithuania had expanded across Europe and occupied France. In that same campaign I owned three territories only by 1745 as the British kept invading Finland and Denmark and wrecked my campaign.

Oh, I've had unrest above 40 before too... invading central Europe as Sweden, every captured territory starts above 30. I usually just exempt from tax and let them do their thing... destroying the faction utterly seems to help as well. One could encourage revolts to speed up the process considerably, if one is financially and militarily stable enough to repair the damage afterward. I'm generally not.

That's just ridiculous. How in the world is there that much unrest?! Never thought those kind of levels were possible lol

Stop the raping and pillage and maybe it'll go down! Of course once your army is reinforced and the buildings are fixed up it'll go down a bit more and a church couldn't hurt either.

I hate getting insane amounts of unrest, you need to keep an army nearby for like 20 turns to quell the rebellions :S

Lol, thats pretty impressive, I hope you like squishing large stacks rebellions (I know I do)

The best you can do is full garrison, cut tax, build morale, repression or religion boosting buildings and squish the rebellions untill after a few your repression raises high enough to stop any more.

Or in smilie terminology do this untill the locals do this

    Hi there.
LOL, I like that idea. 1 rep for the expert use of smilies.....
Back on topic. By games end in 1799, the populance had reached a happyness level of yellow!!!!
And, as said, no schools, a full garrison and a tavern-fully upgraded (can not remember what they are called). I ended up quelling 4 or 5 rebellions. Nasty (but fun).

It's 1788, if you don't have a decent economy by then you might as well give up.
