This is for Christians, Muslims, Jews, and Deists of any kind. Even agnostics.

1.How often do you pray? Is it a scheduled thing? Is it normally only during hard times? Or do you just talk to him when the time feels right?

2. How important do you think prayer is? How do you define prayer?

Agnostics, do you find yourself praying to a higher power? Not necessarily an Abrahmic God, but to some creator or life source? Praying doesn't have to be kneeling and directly praying to God, it can be asking for help or guidance as well.

Just wanted to see what people thought...

BTW, please don't turn this into a theists vs. atheists thread. Those get annoying.

This thread is for agnostics, too. There is no reason why his claim makes him Atheist and not an Agnostic.

There should be religious rehab.

Religious people, getting their fix on Pray. Interesting. Then praying booths will become part of black market economics. Then it will have a higher penalty than murder. Just like drugs. Then maybe it will slowly become legalized again.

When you disband the entire apparatus of organised religion, sure.

As for praying, I don't pray, because it brings no actual benefit.

I also realize that some people will automatically assume that me praying is just a way that I can get it out, and that I've invented a "God" figure just to make myself feel better.This is not true.

You didn't invent it, that's for sure.

So putting down my beliefs solidifies yours? I see, you're one of those. I respect the beliefs of atheists, because I see where they are coming from. Why can't they just respect mine? If atheists were trully atheists then they wouldn't care what other people thought.

Well, being atheist myself, I'll reply as my friend would-he doesn't pray at all, except for occasionally at night. He doesn't give a reason when I ask him, either-it seems like it kind of defeats the whole purpose.
