    Default Marian Reforms modding

    Is there any possibility to link the marian_reforms to another territory that is not Rome? and/or to another faction that is not Rome?

    Marian reforms are triggered when a Roman cultured faction obtains a huge city in a territory that contains the "italy" hidden resource and doesn't have the internal name "Rome".

    Currently, that means the Romans or Roman Rebels somewhere in Italy except Rome.

    However, by changing cultures you could have any faction (or set of factions) trigger the reforms anywhere. This is quite a lot of work (primarily changing cultures without "changing" them). We considered doing this a while back, but abandoned it as too much work for the results.

    Expand your borders, a mod based on XGM 5.

    As CV said, unfortunately culture swap requires such a staggering amount of changes that only the EB team seems to have done it successfully so far.

    I see, that will involve changing the "Roman" culture to externally appears as another......

    Yes, the change isn't the hard part so much as making sure everything else looks the same as before.

    Definitly not a thing to do after all the work done here. Too many things can go wrong for a very small result, true

    It's something that I plan to do in the future, maybe for XC5.
    Until then there's plenty of things to do which will have a bigger impact on the game...
