Sorry, I ask help without reading the big thread about bugs, but english is not my mother language, and it would be really hard for me to read 31 pages, so I hope u'll have mercy for me

Okay, the point now : I installed the 1.05 patch, then DLV 6.0 and then DLV 6.2... i feel stupid now, but i didn't chek ater each step, so I don't know if the problem was with the 1.05 patc, with DLV 6.0 or with DLV 6.2
Anyway, now, when i try to play, i have this...

After cliking "yes" "yes" and "continue" this screen appears :

It's the normal launch screen of MTW2 Gold Edition, but all bugged... if i try to play Med 2 original it works, if i try one of the four campaigns of Kingdoms it tells i don't have the DVD

And if i try to play DLV, nothing appens when i click... in fact a windows appears for a fraction of second (so I can't read what's inside) and then disappears, and nothing else appens...

I tried to uninstall one of the Kingdoms campaign and then to reinstall it, bu it didn't work anyway. I tried to unistall DLV, but i find nowere and uninstall file.... now I really don't know what ele I can do

    Some ideas??

Yes. Install 6.2 again, let it install to the m2tw folder this time, not mods.

When you want to unistall DLV you can just delete the folder 'dlv_ext' in mods.

    Thanks, I try it now

I still have the same exact problem... I erase DLV, then uninstall kingdoms (because even when DLV is erased, kingdoms is still not working), then reinstall and repatch kingdoms (and it works) and then I install DLV 6.0 and it makes exactly the same problem :/

I didn't realise that the whole game wasn't working, I thought it was just DLV, my mistake.

I have no idea what is causing your problem or what could be.

Which folders did you install 6.0 and 6.1 to?

No problem, i guess part of the problem is wih my english ^^
Medieval 2 works, Medieval 2 kingdoms doesn't (it says that i don't have the right DVD), and DLV doesn't work at all. Then I uninstalled DLV and kingdoms, then reinstalled kindoms (only one campaign, in order to make it faster) and patched it. After patching t worked, so the problem is not with the patch.
Then I installed DLV 6.0, I tried and then i had the same bug again :/

Now i uninstalled all, and try to reinstall all... well see...

    This is crazy!!!!!
This time I reinstalled MED 2, then installed the britannia campaign in 1.04. I tried it and it worked. Then I installed de 1.05 patch tried to play, and it said I didn't have the good DVD 0_o But last time it worked, with exactly the same patch... I start thinking about suicide :/

Did you install the correct patch for the langauge version of m2tw you're using?

I'm using english version (i buyed it in UK) and the patch was a multilanguage one (Total_War_Kingdoms_EnFrItGeSp)... anyway, i downloaded it from another site, we'll see... :/

Edit : I'll try this one, seems to be specific for the UK gold edition...

RE-edit : ok, with this patch kingdom is really nice, i have no more bugs, but I installed DLV 6.0 in the Medieval 2 folder and it still don't work...

    YEAH!!!
I installed it in the mod folder and it works!!!!!
It appears that the problem was with patch 1.05 : the version I dowloaded sometimes it worked and sometimes not, soit made me rally confused about the cause of the problem. Anyway, thanks very much Taiji for your help

EDIT : in order to prevent another catastroph, in wich folder must i install the 6.2 patch?

    6.0 goes in mods

    6.2 goes in m2tw

    And you're welcome

    Hi again ^^
I installed DLV in mod folder, then the patch 6.2 in the medeival2 folder. It seems to work, because the game starts, but i have tons of crash bugs :/
I didn't even tried to play, because i crashed 4 times in the menus (one time by cliking on quick battle, and 3 other times by cliking on a faction flag in the menu of the campaign) : what I mean by that is that, when I cliked, the game windows disappeard and i was back on my desktop again :/

DLV is a campaign game, it is not a 'clicking around the menu game' at all.

It will crash if you select more than 1 faction on the faction selection screen.

It will also crash if you go from custom battles to start a campaign.

This is because we have 31 factions, just pick the one you want and start.

The campagin itself should not CTD.

Humm, ok, i didn't start the game because i thought that if the menu crashed so often, the game would crash even more ^^

Welcome to Deus lo Vult Mr. Frat. You don't have to appologise for anything if you make as much effort as you did by clearly, consistly and visually layed out a questions at hand. If you want to check out each faction(soliders, history, geographics, buildings, etc.), then you can easily do it here: http://totalwar.honga.net/faction.php?v=dlv6. (It's for 6.1, but it will do)

Thorolf was thus armed. Then Thorolf became so furious that he cast his shield on his back, and, grasping his halberd with both hands, bounded forward dealing cut and thrust on either side. Men sprang away from him both ways, but he slew many. Thus he cleared the way forward to earl Hring's standard, and then nothing could stop him. He slew the man who bore the earl's standard, and cut down the standard-pole. After that he lunged with his halberd at the earl's breast, driving it right through mail and body, so that it came out at the shoulders; and he lifted him up on the halberd over his head, and planted the butt-end in the ground. There on the weapon the earl breathed out his life in sight of all, both friends and foes. [...] 53, Egil's Saga
I must tell you here of some amusing tricks the Comte d'Eu played on us. I had made a sort of house for myself in which my knights and I used to eat, sitting so as to get the light from the door, which, as it happened, faced the Comte d'Eu's quarters. The count, who was a very ingenious fellow, had rigged up a miniature ballistic machine with which he could throw stones into my tent. He would watch us as we were having our meal, adjust his machine to suit the length of our table, and then let fly at us, breaking our pots and glasses.

Cheeky buggar admits to using a pirated copy and expects us to help him lol

You better sneak on out of here before a mod decides to get "Medieval" on your arse

The Danes, I swear, with their half arsed attempts at a 'war'. You gotta give it to 'em, they just dont stop trying. Listen, I've fought the Timurids, ever heard of them? Elephants with cannons on their backs. Yea, Timurids. You guys are like kids on tricycles compared to them. -REZ
