How to revert to vanilla SS campaign movement?

I'm playing with the RR/RC/BGRIV compilation and would like to have the vanilla SS campaign movement back. I remember reading somewhere recently how to do it but now I can't find it. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

in the data folder, edit the descr_character.txt
Look for the starting action points and edit them to your liking,

And that will change the movement for all pieces on the campaign map? Armies, priests, merchants, etc.
