    Is it possible to write a script whereby if a faction's merchants control all sources of a particular tradeable good that the merchants' trade in that good yield a greater price? Having a monopoly of the market would allow the faction to manipulate supply to its advantage, so for example instead of a merchant trading in sugar for 440, it would trade for 660, an extra 50%.

    It would encourage exploration and contact with distant nations, and would reward a player who role plays.

    I'm not sure that is possible.
