i need help

I read about the mod and i loved it so i got 2.0 and then patched it up to the new 2.6 and the game starts just fine but then when i try to start a campaign it wont let me it just says pick an item from the list and i have the new shadow campign option picked whats wrong with that? Also it wont let me do custom battles either only historical battles. can someone please help me?

You have probably forgotten to patch your Bi to 1.6 Uninstall the mod (by deleting the "ci" folder inside your 'bi' directory), apply the official BI 1.6 patch and then reinstall FATW.

I have my BI patched up to 1.6. Plus if i didnt i dont think i would be able to play at all, but i can its just the campaign that im having trouble with.

Could you please double-check, just to be sure (Options screen)? Because the description of your problem fits perfectly the descriptions of the problems of many other users during the past few years that had indeed simply forgotten to patch BI up.

hm. im having the same problem, just finished installing Rome Gold Edition and according to the creators

Please note that Rome: Total WarTM - Gold Edition is already patched and does not require any further patching.

of course (typing this up as i work) i go into BI then options and find that i only have 1.4... am attempting to install patches then reinstalling 4th age... again... should be done within the hour, but ill post by tomorrow for sure incase anyone else happens across this problem
