Default an idea to honour Calvin...

Chatting with Emperor Meg on MSN, we both thought it would be cool if we could do something to honour him within RS mod. 2 ideas that came to mind was either make him one of the starting generals(roman) or make a building(maybe a shrine?) dedicated to him.

edit: how about a shrine/temple that would be buildable in Rome capital, dedicated to Calvin with a brief history of this great man?

Sounds good to me. Doesn't have to be anything huge.

... well, you could probably find room on the end of a tier for an unbuildable (ie: placed via descr_strat) shrine, if you really wanted. Or a buildable one, though it would be a little odd to players who didn't expect it.

Somehow, it would be oddly fitting to see a shrine in the Terrae_Incognita settlement, titled "Calvin, Conqueror of the Unknown"

I think a suitable 'dedication' for Calvin would be VERY appropriate in the historic building that is already in Rome...the Curia Hostilia. In addition to the building description, an epitaph for Calvin....who really worked hard on the Roman Leadership and government system....would fit there just perfectly, as it is Rome's governmental historic building where the Senate met.

I can't think of a better place for it.

I'll be sure to give them a small e-mail to honour Calvin for this last time .

And the idea of "Shrine to Calvin" is very good in my opinion.

I'm writhing one as of now, still can't believe how cruel the world can be. Especially considered the fact that he was finally getting grip of his life, the move to US, marriage and all that.

it is only fitting to honour the many hours
he poured into this mod. I remember his work when i was here back in August, he was on here, working away, posting updates, breakthroughs and helpful hints and criticisms.....
