Paris Falls, all of France Falls???

Hey guys
I was playing my campaign as England last night and I got a message one turn where it said Paris had fallen and another message right after saying France was destroyed as a faction.It was only 20 turns in and I thought I would investigate and it turns out that all the rest of France's territories were rebels and just the Capital had fallen. Is this normal???

any replys are appreciated

(oh and this is the late campaign I was playing just so you guys know)

France's entire family tree was wiped out somehow, probably in a battle. If a faction has a small starting family tree and is at war, the AI has a good chance of killing itself by sending family members to their doom while not adopting new generals.

6.2 goes some way to rectify this problem.

When I play, the same thing usually happend to Norway. They lose Bergen, then suddenly they're all dead.

It has happened to me couple of times as well, that´s because Norway starts with I think 1 or 2 adult family members and if they die Norway goes rebel

i have seen Norway as well as HRE die out.

France never ever ever dies in my campaigns, unless I kill them myself.

HRE is always gobbled up fast. Usually in the east, with poland taking a big bite. In the north denmark fries some german sausages early on, but in mid game norway usually goes medieval on there asses. France is always huge. Never seems to die. In an english game they did themselves in by sending endless stacks at Caen regardless of treaties alliances or papal standing, so i was able to consume there entire army easily.

Same here, HRE always gets eaten up by Poland and Venice for my early campaign games. The Byzantines, Moors, and Fatimids always seem to become superpowers by turn 60. I've NEVER seen Norway go anywhere past Oslo or Friesland, despite many other players experiences of them going all Viking-like on northern Europe.

Oh man, the fatimids and khwarz scare the hell out of me. Huge undefeatable stack attacks of utter DOOM !

But if you move early, move fast, and try to sucker there resources from the nile area, you can sneak in a few commando forces and steal there major money makers. Thats what im doing at the templars, and oh man, does it work. Once there economy tanks just kill off the armies !
