Cole,
Seems I am having the map.rwm issue again. I have downloaded the addon 3 times, deleted the files and it is still crashing... what is left to try?

Heretical,
I need to know exactly what is happening when you attempt to load the game, have you tried using the data.7z update at the bottom of the main page of the instructions post (first page of this thread)? Let me know how you get on, I'll PM you.
Imperiumiv,
The mirror will probably be okay as long as you include the update file. It went awol after I deleted it and tried uploading a new one, for three days I wasn't able to post it. I haven't included much since our last few conversations due to a busy schedule of nightmarish proportions at work the last two weeks. Apart from Friday and Saturday I've been working day and night stopping to merely eat, sleep and sometimes wash (although even that had to be left aside some days!)!

Hi all,
New updates to UR v2.0 posted, check out the 'data' 7z file on the title post.
Units re-balanced, an ongoing process.
Units recruitment updates for some factions e.g. Byzantium and Wales etc.
Factions re-named using local language where possible e.g. England is now Ríce Ćngla Land, Holy Roman Empire is now Imperium Romanum Sacrum.
Hotseat functionality is restored, apologies about that oversight by someone who has nobody to share his M2TW love with.
Likely others I've now forgotten about.
New loading screens thanks to ImperiumIV, check em out, they are lush:
Example 1
Example 2
Eample 3
Example 4
Enjoy!
Don't forget I am here if you need help, as yet no one has been left without a resolution to a problem they've asked me about (unless it's the affore mentioned usual ctd associated with switching between the main menu's) and many suggestions have been taken on board in the v2.0 and updates! Bring it on.
P.S. It's mine and future Mrs Colesy606's wedding this weekend so I will be unavailable for about 3 weeks, if you have any major problems post them here or P.M. me and I'll assist you as soon as possible!

EDIT: Never mind
But why are all the faction names weird, my friend and I are so confused 0.o Great mod though!

Mr colesy606, why, when the new map you do not edit the coordinates of events in the file descr_events??? (Earthquake, black death, etc.)

Black screen ctd usually comes if map.rwm is not deleted.
Descr_events coordinates wrong; it's not intentional Russian so there is no answer to your question.
I will take a look at it when I get a chance.

an update which balances mercenaries is in the works.
It appears the textures for Venetian Heavy Infantry are missing; I get a CTD every time I try to start a battle with them.

Evening everyone.
As u can see my 1st post to these forums ^^ and tbh i really would like to test out mod of urs, but im having problems...
Version im using is downloaded from mirror which imperiumiv posted earlier with data file from the front page. I have also tried with mod file linked at 1st page.
Game version is Steam 1.5 kingdoms, had huge problems with launcher so deleted file and renamed medieval2.exe as launcher, mod didnt even try to start without this manouver. Now i atleast get to loading screen where it crashes :p Without deleting original launcher & renaming medieval2.exe to launcher.exe game only causes Fatal Error without any markings to system.log.
Systemlog.(would had linked only file but couldnt find right button...)

Tested and edited descr_projectile.txt a bit. Removing "grapeshot" from that mentioned line caused error to jump forward, to next "grapeshot"... After that it went to "aimed_spin 4.0" on line 1718, next was "no_ae_on_ram" 1739 after that velocities etc...
all help is preciated, ty already, keep up good work

The Americas campaign is the one I played most recently, and I can't find an error log specific to UR. Almost everything in UR2.0 is fine except the error regarding the Venetian Heavy Infantry skins. In one error log I saw that it said the VHI's skins were missing.

Upcoming Content: Skins for upgraded dismounted templars and for upgraded Crusader foot knights. More balanced Janissary infantry (maybe not because this is still being tested) they should last longer in hand to hand combat but should not plow through everything as fast as they normally do. Rebalanced pole-axes. Halberds are now standardized with a score of 14 plus or minus for unit training. Colesy606 and I are working on making pikes more realisitc but this may never come to fruition so as o not deviate from normal retrofit 1.0.
So... Is there any way to fix my problem?

If I want to take someone else's campaign and battle AI files and add them to my copy of this mod how hard would that be?
Just curious what would you use over XAI, in particular for the battle AI?
I had written a reply to this and thought that I had posted it but it seems I didn't. There is a mod called Lusted's AI that supposedly improves the campaign and battle AI. All the files go into the DATA folder and I was wondering if there would be negative repercussions of putting them in this mind, as I didn't see anything written about this mod addressing AI behaviour.
Also, the game manual states that the building browser should have a city and castle tab, but I only see a city tab. Is that a byproduct of this mod? And I also am not getting any options to do anything with my battle prisoners, as noted in the manual. What is that all about?
