Does the H/VH campaign setting still cause your reputation to plummet like in Vanilla? Thanks!

    edit: I'm playing ver 6.1

Depends on what you do, be nice by release prisoners, occupying, keeping alliances, low taxes, high chiv king, no assasins then you'll have a high rep. Do the opposite and it will go down quickly. (for christains getting ex-com is a great way to see it go down the toilet!)

I'm referring specifically to the mechanism within the Vanilla H/VH campaign settings that caused your reputation to drop a certain amount every turn regardless of your actions.

I'm just wondering if that is something that was changed by SS (6.1) or if it's hardcoded into the game.

It is brought back to 0 always (even if you have a negative reputation), the same way alliances increase it and wars decrease it.

Marriage or not has no effect on reputation, nor have assassins and spies (at least in vanilla), altough they may lead to war, which will lead to lower reputation.

Are you talking about relations rather than reputation. I have never taken reputation hits unless I instigate wars, get caught with spies/assassins, break alliances etc.

But I often get lowered relations with nation, especially that have other religious beliefs
