    Default Favorite Game Soundtracks

We all know that games are made up of many elements that make them great. However, many people overlook one of a game's most important aspect: the music. Some games hit a fantastic soundtrack, and others don't. My two favorites are Halo and Morrowind.

So what are some of your favorite game soundtracks?

World in Conflict and the Call of Dutys all had wonderfully made, emotionful music. Total War series as well but less so. Jeff Van Dyck still is briliant.

Yeah, I've found that TW soundtrack has gone down since the original M:TW. Rome was okay, M2:TW was eh, and Empire just plain didn't exist.

The Gothic 3 sound track I believe was the best I've heard.

Gothic 3 soundtrack was good.....though I like the soundtrack of Risen even better, and this time the game keeps up with the quality of the music

Also note that Risen soundtrack was done again by Kai Rosenkranz; who also did Gothic 2 & 3.

    Homeworld, definitely. Excellent soundtrack.

I don't think any other musical score has made me feel more suspense, more tension, more terror, or more haunted.

    No better battle out there.

As a total aside...Chrono Trigger also gets the best rickroll ever.

I have a few favorites for the list..

Red Alert's Hell March is an all time favorite:

You can't beat Full Throttle.. The game itself is great, but the music really blew me away when I first played it..

Oh, and ofcourse the classic Super Mario Bros.. How can you not hum or whistle this along when you hear it?

And lastly, Civilization IV's intro has actually made me sit and watch the main screen, doing absolutely nothing except listen to the music and watch the sun rise and fall over planet Earth..
