weird recruitment list

this is not another aor question, since i'm used to it since the rome total realism series. my problem is my game must be crazy!

with koj i'm not able to recruit any local unit, exept some aor units and indian ones (indian units in jerusalem? wt...)

with the romans it's the same. all their armies are composed by indian units, some aor units, but not the main ones. what is going on? :S

Find and delete map.rwm file. It should be in your M2TW\broken_crescent\data\world\maps\base folder. If not then it's somewhere on your c:\ partition, well hidden in AppData folder. You have to restart campaign then.

And you have BC 2.02 installed on M2TW v. 1.03?

er.. i think so. i have crusades installed so it's 1.03 for sure.

and yes i have 2.02

Mhm, ok, now, delete map,rwm file again, then restart your comp, and then campaign.

this is going to sound weird, but the map file didnt show up again, what the hell?!

Well, it should rebuild after starting a new campaign. Start new campaign, check if AOR works, if it won't work, then I'm too stupid to solve the problem.

i started a new campaign, and it didnt show up a new map.rwm file, witch is impossible since it is needed to make the game work :S

If you have vista, then:

For Vista OS find map.rwm file in: Medieval II Total War/broken_crescent/data/world/maps/base and then look for the Compatibility files folder up top and it's in there.

If not, then it could be on c:\ somwhere in AppData folder.

that's the problem... when i deleted the map.rwm they where where they should be. (M2TW\broken_crescent\data\world\maps\base )

i deleted them but nothing now. they dont show up again, yet a new compaign works (but the recruitment stuff is still messed up), and that makes no sense!

and i looked in appdata folder, and nothing shows up regarding medieval 2 total war
