Time in Heaven or Afterlife

Hey all got some questions about heaven/Afterlife and whether time exists or not.

Main question is do humans continue to age after dieing?

The reason i ask is because babies die. What happens do they remain babies forever in the afterlife or do they grow into adulthood?

Also how is it determined whether a baby goes to heaven or hell?

Biblical evidence implies babies grow to be adults in heaven, then either stop aging (assuming an aesthetic view of christianity) or continue aging with the relatives.

Not too sure about the other afterlifes, I'd assume jewish theology is similar in this.

If there was such a thing as an afterlife of that nature then what you wouldn't have is a physical body, so you could imagine look like anything you please. Animals and babies would probably stuck in one form or another due to their limited imagination.

Whats to stop people giving birth to children then murdering them for an instant get out of jail free card straight into heaven.

Parents want whats best for there children if i had 3-4 children and i knew 110% fact i could get them an instant pass into heaven by killing them i would seriously consider it even if it resulted in an eternity of hell for me. But then isnt that a self sacrifice, Accepting an eternity in hell in exchange for the safety and happiness of your children.

It's an exploit or loop in the system if you will. But exploits would not even exist is god created heaven so yet again im lead to beleive its all completely made up.

Nothing about religion has any perfection to it at all which i would expect from a perfect supreme being of such power and intelligence.

To me it just seems very human-minded and flawed. I mean scientology is also man made and it makes more sense and has less flaws even though its nonsense also.

Many belief systems have come to the conclusion that we will have no physical bodies in the afterlife, our physical bodies are what holds our souls back.

Thats what i thought but thats also what i have problems with. Assuming a 1 year old die's and there soul goes to heaven.

How are they educated? Are there schools and teachers in heaven?

Does god wave his magic wand and give them 75+ years of life experience and education they missed?

Or are our souls already predetermined at birth which makes living life pointless?

So go ahead and do that. Most normal christians would rather their children be mortals long enough to have a relationship with god on earth, since it is a blessing to be cleansed of sin in that way.

When people die and God doesn't intervene to raise them immediately they(their spirit) will descend to the kingdom of death or what is known as the world of the dead.

Here's their condition, their exact condition:

1. They will not be aware of themselves(no awareness)
2. They will no longer remember God(and everything else)/no memory
3. They will not able to register the passage of time at all

Note that the world of the dead is not heaven nor it is hell so I can't say for heaven or hell I only know the condition of the dead in the kingdom of death(world of the dead). Most today's Christians do not accept the concept of the world of the dead and people still descending to it even to this day.

It's actually a blessing not to be aware of the passage of time in the world of the dead as the dead may have to wait for quite some time before being raised and judged.

i think wiz raised a really keen point regarding infanticide.

if i were a christian and someone said that to me, i'm not sure what i'd say or think.

probably i'd react in an intuitive way that had nothing to do with the logic of my faith, it would probably cause me to question my faith.

if this doesn't cause you to question your faith how does one justify one's self, if you do indeed believe that killing your child (though a sin against your own soul) would be a sure way of sending your child to heaven.

That is a distinctly Catholic view. Don't pawn it off as a view of all Christianity.

How do you determine a babie's true nature?

If it's a testing ground what happens to soul's that havent been tested i.e Babies that die at an early age.
