Default Can we make religion change over time ?

    Hello all,
I wonder if it is possible to change the religion of a faction during the game to follow history accuracy, depending on events. For example, lithuania was pagan until 15th century then became catholic as they were rattached to the grand duchy of poland (it did not last but they remained catholic afterward - stop me if i am wrong). Mongols were pagans during Gengiz Khan sovereignty but the following khans eventually convert to Islam. HRE / England were catholic until the 16th century so they are a little bit out of scope considering the time scale/period; but i mean it would be nice to be able to change the religion during the game (maybe with an event box, yes/no).
Is it possible by giving counters from the descr_events.txt and changing export_descr_buildings.txt (and copying tga files for priests from other religion into this faction sub folder) ?
Then one who decide to change religion will have to destroy the old temples (maybe can be done auto) and can start building new temples. A faction that become catholic have now to bother with the pope but in returns, can join crusades etc etc.
It could add a lot of flexibility to the game (civ-like ^^).
Is it doable or just impossible to do it ?
    Thanks for help and advice.

Hmm I don't think so. However, depending on the era of the campaign you're playing your religion may change. For instance in the SV Darkage campaign, Norway is pagan. However, in the High Age campaign it is Catholic. I believe it is determined by the campaign script.

Kingdoms made it possible with Lithuania being able to convert to christianity in the Teutonic campaign. The problem is that this messes up the AI. This is why Lithuania can't convert in SS.

And a good thing it is too. Better that they remain pagan imo.

Shame about the AI. It'd be cool to see the conversion implemented, maybe as a choice players can have, choosing there state religion if another gains popularity among the people.

Ok i did not know that this was possible in kingdom's teutonic campaign. And this seems impossible with SS. Thanks for the answers.
