Default Problem while Editing Historical Battles

I'm making some historical battles for Rome Medieval 2 tw mod, and i have 2 major problems that i haven't seen when creating battles for other mods:

    - I can't choose which faction will be playable. Just one faction can be playable, and it depends on the factions that are part of the hb. For example, i'm trying to edit Hastings, and i would like to have the french as the playable faction, but it is only possible to play with the english. I have tried modifing the description.txt, establishing the english as non playable faction, but in that case i can't even get into battle. If both factions are defined as playable, you will able to play always with the same faction, no matter which of them u have choose.

    - I can't create squads of more than 160 soldiers (i mean, 160 x 20 each army). When editing, i can add up to 300, but then, when playing there are no more than 160. How can i modify this limit? Cause it's nonsense that i can create big squads when editing but not being able to see them on the battlefield when playing...

Please, if anybody could help me... it would be awesome. Or at least tell me where to look for the info!Well, thanks in advance.

Just make two versions of the HB, one with the French as playable, the other with the English.

The size you see in the battle probably, though I'm not sure, corresponds to the unit size listed under the advanced settings for video options. Change that to, likely, change the unit size when actually running the historical battle.

But the problem isn't that i can make both faction playables... I can make one of them playbles, no matter how many copies of the battle i make. I'm just able to play with the english, not with the french

I'm quite sure the size of the armies at historical battles is not related with the size defined at the options menu. Anyway, i'll try it. Ty

For single player historical battles you will can only have one playable faction, or at least are only able to play as the one listed first, which was why I said, make a second copy and in one copy make the english playable and the french not, and in the second copy make the french playable and the english not.

Thank you for your quick answer. My problem is that i can only make playable the English, not the French. When I make them playable by editing the description.txt, I can't play the hb, it will just not load. And if both of them are defined as playable, just the english will be possible to play with.

If anybody knows anything about editing another *.txt that may modify this issue, please let me know asap. Thank you in advance =)

    EDIT#1:

I have already found out how to do it. The problem was that when generating a new army, it is set as non playable by default by the command fe_non_playable. Just but deleting it i can make the faction playable. Sorry Squid if you were telling me to do that, i thought you were referring just to the first part of the description.txt file, where it is also possible to set playable and non playable factions.

    EDIT#2

You were right about the size of the units too XD
