Me and another fella tried playing online we both have version 1.6 however we were incompatable. Below is the screen shot I took. Any help would be great.

one of you didnt manually remove all the previous modfiles when you did a fresh install for rs1.6
(they dont get removed when you uninstall Rome)

It's also worthwhile deleting the map.rwm files.
You need to have exactly the same install in order to play on-line. This means all files have to be the same. I think the exception is probably your preferences etc.
