Default What Really Happened in [_____]

Personally I really enjoy rewriting or modifying history in MTW2. It's pretty much why I play it. Besides the unabashed joy of gunpowder units blasting into hapless infantrymen. Teehee

Anyways, the point of this thread is to see if anyone else has any mm.... interesting... events in their campaigns that resonate either with humor or just plain irony. This is in no way supposed to be serious. It's not blasphemy and it's not madness.
I'll start out with one of mine from my Norway campaign in:
SS RR/RC BGRIV SSTC [insert billion other acronyms.]

After many years of Norwegian kings gorging themselves on the fruits of the Scottish highlands, William Wallace emerges from the hive of filth that is Creative Assembly coding. Norwegian claims to Scotland are shattered completely. After years of intermarriage between Swedish and Dansk princes, Let me clarify that Norwegian princesses were marrying the princes, and the princes were NOT marrying each other.there are very few governor generals to quell the rebellion.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

Haakon Haakonsson the legendary dude that unified to some extent what is now modern day Norway, or Hordaland, was busy beating the living crap out of Irish peasants with a wooden stick. However, Haakon Haakonsson abandons his appointment at the Department of Redundancy Department and got on his little boats and sailed across the tiny lake full of dragons, sea anemones, and various other creatures from the Little Mermaid to England.

Crown Prince Haakon Haakonsson the Chivalrous Lord of Ireland and Scotland
    vs
William Wallace of nothing in particular

SHOT BY A BOLT OF FIRE.

    And so the reign of
William Wallace, which consisted mostly of him sitting on top of a mountain for 12 years waiting for me to attack him came to an end. Norway is now poised to wipe Scotland out completely. Which is funny, because most of the Norwegian army consisted of Scots.

P.S - Norwegian princesses are apparently like Aphrodite clones, these are two of my SIX princesses in 70 years with similar characteristics.

The revisionist history of Scotland maintains that William Wallace led a successful uprising against the English Crown when some unimportant noble named Edward Longshanks supposedly ascended the English throne. We have uncovered the true archive of the time.

King William (the Conqueror, who later became known as "the Chivalrous") of Normandy, Brittany, England, Ireland and the Lowlands (His full titulature since the year of our Lord 1130) still held his throne, with Duke Henry well prepared to ascend upon his father's demise. Scotland raided over the border in force in 1126 while William was away in Ireland, completing the subjugation of the remaining tribes in Connaught. Henry managed to repel the invasion and proceeded to launch a punitive expedition to Edinburgh. William received the message of Scottish treachery and, since his army was still in good order, took ship across the Irish strait and marched up the Firth of Clyde to invest Aberdeen. When those cities were annexed, the new Scottish King came begging for peace after we dispatched his predecessor. We generously allowed the Scots to swear fealty to the English Crown and become our vassal. Some years later, this William Wallace raised an army on our lands in Scotland. Instead of allowing him to foment discontent among the Scots, we offered him the hand of one of the Royal daughters ( I believe it was the younger daughter of Duke Henry of Cornwall.) on the condition that he become a servant of the Crown. In return for this, he was to be given the title to Aberdeen upon acceptance and affirmation of the oath of fealty. In short, he accepted. His former army of savages is still encamped in the Grampian mountains, but they may be of use in our new war against the Norwegians.

I just looked on the compilation mod thread, and it is also a separate sub-mod. Here's the link.

    Agart's Cities and Castles submod.

Ah very nice. +Rep for you sir! Obtaining Wallace is a fun alternative to shooting him with a 6 foot iron bolt from an enormous crossbow.
