Default Where are the hardcoded files located?

I often found that some things in M2TW are hardcoded so I was wondering where the hardcoded files actually located as I've unpacked the whole mod but haven't found them.

Yes, anything that is hardcoded is stuff that cannot be changed, and will be located in the exe.

Is there a chance that they will ever release the code of Med II, say in 4-5 years, in order for funs to mod the hardcoded limits?

And messing with the EXE is still a NONO anyhow. At least you can't publish it here.

there are hex editors to edit .exe files

how come it's not possible to edit the hardcoded stuff?

a somehow 'illegal' argument are the crackers, that remove the serial need, the cd-rom stuff

has anyone deeply looked at the .exe?

Of course its possible to edit the file, the problem is its illegal to do so as it violates copyright law. No-cd cracks and serial numbers aren't the only way to violate copyright.

I am sure some hot shots would be able to do it, but the result would not be admissible here. I once only wanted to change the "LEGIO" entry in the exe to something else and that didn't go down well either (understandably).
