    Default RTW with updated features

    Hey all,

It's been a while since I've played RTW but I wanted to jump back into it since ETW hasn't really kept me interested. At any rate, there are some features in ETW that I would like to have in RTW and I wanted to know if anyone knows of a mod that has them, such as:

    1) 0 turn recruitment (I think it's called that). If I remember correctly, vanilla RTW could only recruit 1 unit per turn, I'd rather be able to recruit a certain number per turn, like ETW or M2TW.
    2) I like ETW's ability to replenish troops regardless of where they are. It's such a pain to march an army from across the map just to replenish them because no city in range has the ability to recruit a certain unit.

There are some others, but those are the two main ones that I want. I've really only played the SPQR and Darthmod Mods before (long time ago) but I figured it would be better to ask here so anyone can try and answer.

    Thanks.

0 turn recruitment is very easy to do, and a lot of mods use it. In EDU, just change the first number behind 'stat_cost' (often that number is '1' or '2') to 0.

About the second one.. You can't do that. Apparently, CA was going to do that, but it wasn't implemented unfortunately. From the docudemons :

    Identifier: replenish_units
Parameters: army identifier (the general's name)
Description: replenish all the units to full numbers for the army
    Sample use: replenish_units Gaius Julius
    Class: REPLENISH_UNITS
    Implemented: No

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I guess the only way to be able to retrain units troops in any city would be to change what units can be built from each building.

I don't think it's possible in RTW to have a mechanism that allows you to retrain units in each city ~ even if you can't train those units in that city

Well, what I was saying was to make it so the lowest level buildings could build every unit, but then that would defeat the purpose of leveling a city up, but that would be the only way (I can think of) to retrain units in every city. Too bad a system like ETW couldn't be implementated with RTW. Could there be a button or script added like ETW that would automatically replenish the units while reducing your treasury and population at the same time?
